SEWA explores research collaboration with University of Sharjah

Sharjah 24: A delegation from the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), represented by its Research and Studies Department, visited the University of Sharjah to strengthen mutual cooperation—particularly in scientific research, knowledge exchange, training, and the organisation of joint community-oriented initiatives that support sustainable development in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Dr. Eng Hassan Al Zarouni, Director of the Research and Studies Department at SEWA, emphasised the Authority’s pivotal role in serving the Emirate. He highlighted SEWA’s commitment to reinforcing its strategic partnership with the University of Sharjah to leverage the university’s research and academic capabilities in developing innovative solutions for the challenges facing the energy, water, and gas sectors. He also noted the university’s crucial contribution to producing national talent capable of supporting the development process.

The visit included a tour of the university’s research facilities and specialised laboratories, where the delegation was introduced to the latest technologies and research projects led by students and researchers across various engineering and scientific fields.
