Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the 12th edition of the Sharjah School Theatre Festival concluded at the Sharjah Cultural Palace Theatre. The event continues to play a vital role in enriching the UAE’s theatrical and cultural landscape.

A platform for emerging artistic talent

Saleh Obaid Al Tunaiji, a member of the festival’s organizing committee, emphasized that the festival consistently nurtures a new generation of creative talents by showcasing young artists who contribute significantly to the cultural scene in the UAE. He highlighted that the closing ceremony honoured winners across various award categories, celebrating their artistic achievements.

Strong institutional collaboration and diverse participation

Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al Tunaiji praised the collaborative efforts between the Theatre Department at the Department of Culture and the Ministry of Education, which ensured the success of this edition. More than 60 schools from across Sharjah took part, presenting diverse and innovative performances that demonstrated the artistic creativity of student actors, directors, and writers.
