The Sharjah Charity International announced the implementation of 359 productive projects outside the country during the first quarter of 2025, at a cost of half a million dirhams. This is part of its "Productive Families" development project, which aims to empower poor and low-income families with crafts.

Shifting aid from consumer-oriented to productivity

This step comes within the framework of the SCI's efforts to transition aid from a consumer-based model to a productive developmental model, through projects that empower individuals to work independently and enhance living stability.

In-depth analysis of the needs of eligible groups

Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SCI, explained that the projects implemented by the Association in several Asian and African countries came after a thorough study of the needs of eligible groups. These projects targeted craftsmen with limited or no income to create job opportunities for them. He pointed out that each project is delivered within a subsequent follow-up program, which includes field visits and periodic impact assessments, to ensure the continuity of the projects and ensure their proper investment.
