Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), in coordination with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), held an educational workshop on the National Drone Platform and its mechanism for unifying related services, ensuring the highest standards of aviation security and safety.

Colonel Yahya Al Mail, Head of the Security Monitoring Department at SPGC, and a number of specialists, attended the workshop from relevant departments at Sharjah Police.

Unifying services of drone operations

The workshop, presented by Ahmed Rahma Al Shamsi, Airspace Analyst at GCAA, addressed the mechanism for unifying services related to drone operations and integrating them within a unified platform developed with the support of the UAE Cyber Security Council.

Services delivered through a single digital window

The platform enables government entities to provide their services through a single digital window, contributing to reducing time and effort and facilitating procedures for customers through an integrated and effective experience.

Unifying organisational visions

At the conclusion of the workshop, Colonel Yahya Al Mail emphasised the importance of these coordination workshops and their role in unifying organisational visions and strengthening channels of joint communication between relevant entities in building an integrated system that ensures the safe and responsible use of drones, in line with national legislation and international standards.

Al Mail noted that the integration of efforts in this vital sector enhances levels of security and safety in the country's airspace.
