HQA receives delegation from Ministry of Defence

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr Engineer Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Holy Quran Academy (HQA) in Sharjah, welcomed a delegation from the Guidance and Religious Affairs Department at the Ministry of Defence. The visit aimed to explore the Academy’s efforts in serving the Holy Quran and preserving its rich heritage.

Highlighting the Academy’s mission and activities

The delegation, which included Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani and several Academy staff, was introduced to the Academy's scientific mission and core areas of focus. These include the Sharjah International Electronic Recitation Centre, the scientific research and studies the Academy promotes, and the Quranic Museums, which narrate the historical journey of the Holy Quran and its sciences

Preserving the Quranic legacy

Visitors learned about the evolution of Quranic script, rare manuscripts, the science of Qira’at (readings), notable Quranic scholars and reciters, the Quran’s scientific miracles, and the sacred Kiswa (cloth) of the Kaaba.

A cultural and intellectual landmark

The Ministry of Defense delegation praised the Academy, calling it a significant cultural and intellectual landmark that reflects the UAE’s deep commitment to religious and cultural heritage.
