Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended the 11th edition of the Education Interface Exhibition and Conference, held under the theme “Education and Community” in alignment with the UAE leadership’s designation of 2025 as the Year of Community.

Exhibition inauguration and objectives

The exhibition was inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. It aims to enhance cooperation between the education sector and society, aligning with national development goals.

Sheikh Saif’s tour of the exhibition

Sheikh Saif toured the exhibition at Marina Hall, ADNEC, where he was briefed on the latest developments from participating educational institutions. These included innovations in curricula, academic programs, and training initiatives to empower youth.

Scope and participation

The two-day event features more than 500 local, regional, and international institutions. It provides both in-person and virtual platforms for showcasing academic offerings, scholarships, and other services.

Keynote speech by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak

Sheikh Nahyan delivered a keynote titled "Education and Community: Fundamental Pillars for Building Peace and Establishing Tolerance." He praised Sheikh Saif’s sponsorship and his commitment to initiatives shaping the future of the nation.

Vision for education and national development

Sheikh Nahyan highlighted that discussions around education are about securing the nation’s future. He emphasized the role of education in addressing global and local challenges such as economic shifts, environmental issues, and the evolving demands of technology and society.

Legacy and continued leadership in education

He stressed the continuity of educational achievements since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and reaffirmed the current leadership’s support for educational excellence.

He stressed that effective education must reflect societal values and identity. The success of schools and universities, he said, lies in their adaptation to societal needs while preserving national heritage and ethics.

Sheikh Nahyan emphasized education’s role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity, underscoring its importance in building a peaceful and inclusive society.

The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence has ongoing initiatives with educational institutions. Sheikh Nahyan expressed hope for their expansion, calling them vital for building a collaborative spirit and achieving shared societal goals.
