The Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication's Cultural Sector is organising the fair, which will run from April 18 to April 27.
A panel session, titled "Culture and Creativity on the Map of Family Programs in Sharjah," will take place as part of the event. It will shed light on the importance of culture in the context of a family-oriented social institution, as well as how cultural and social functions might be coordinated to achieve common goals. The Cultural Office's work exemplifies these principles since it is dedicated to cultivating human thought and promoting literary and creative creativity, all while encouraging open intellectual and cultural discourse.
Poet Sheikha Al Mutairi will moderate the discussion, which will feature Emirati writer Salha Ghabish, Head of the Cultural Office.
The fair will also feature the Sharjah Cultural Salon, which is one of the Cultural Office's key programmes. The salon will present "The Feminine Voice in Writing", which will bring together female writers from Morocco and the UAE. This session will look at the intersections of Eastern and Maghrebi writing styles in women's literary works, as well as the various themes that enrich Arab culture.
The UAE delegation will include several Emirati writers, along with invited Moroccan writers. We expect the session to culminate with a proposal for a joint creative effort among the participating authors.
The Supreme Council for Family Affairs delegation is led by Salha Ghabish and comprises Aisha Othman from the Cultural Programs Department and Ali Al Hammadi, Projects and Initiatives Leader, at the Council's Media Office.
