Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) successfully connected water services to 3,224 new projects in 2024, adhering to the highest standards. These included 2,054 residential and commercial villas, 163 commercial buildings, and 619 industrial facilities. Additionally, SEWA provided water connections to 50 government projects and linked 21 mosques to the water network.
Commitment to service enhancement
Eng. Faisal Al Serkal, Director of the Water Department at SEWA, highlighted the authority’s ongoing efforts to improve services and facilitate water connections for residential, commercial, industrial, and government buildings across Sharjah. SEWA continues to enhance its procedures and implement digital transformation to provide efficient services to subscribers.
Infrastructure improvements
SEWA also connected projects related to the Sharjah Initiatives Authority and carried out upgrades in areas such as Al Yarmouk, Al Hamriyah, Industrial Areas 1 & 2, and Al Fisht. Efforts are also underway to improve water pressure in Al Rahmaniya, ensuring streamlined procedures and swift service completion.
