Sharjah 24: In recognition of the UAE's approach to instilling the values of giving and solidarity, and in line with the message of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which falls on the 19th of Ramadan each year, a team from the Sharjah Finance Department participated in community activities organized by the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services this morning, Wednesday, at Al Wafa School for Capacity Development in the Al Barashi area, in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day, which falls on March 21 of each year.

The celebration was attended by approximately 25 students with Down syndrome, along with a group of managers, supervisors, and employees from the city, along with representatives from Tahseel Information Technology LLC, the official sponsor of the event. Participants toured the school to learn about the various facilities and services provided. Sports and recreational activities were also organized for people with Down syndrome, with the participation of department employees and under the supervision of specialists from the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.

Empowering of people with disabilities

On this occasion, Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at the Sharjah Central Finance Department, emphasized that participation in this event reflects the department's commitment to its social responsibility and its commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives that contribute to the integration and empowerment of people of determination and provide a supportive environment for them. This is in line with Sharjah's vision as a friendly emirate for people of determination and an extension of the humanitarian approach established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

She added: "Zayed Humanitarian Work Day is not just a national occasion; it is an inspiring milestone that reinforces the concepts of giving and humanitarian solidarity. It motivates us to continue working on sustainable initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life for all segments of society and consolidate the UAE's position as a leading model for humanitarian work globally."

Promoting a culture of giving and social solidarity

For her part, Ban Al Saati, General Manager of Tahseel Information Technology, emphasized the company's pride in participating in events that promote a culture of giving and social solidarity. She noted that this day represents an inspiring national milestone that encourages the sustainability of charitable work, supports those in need, and fosters a spirit of social responsibility, contributing to strengthening solidarity between individuals and institutions. She added that the "Tahseel" system, launched by the Central Finance Department with the support of Tahseel, is a comprehensive platform for processing digital government revenue collections and real-time financial payments. It provides new and innovative means for paying transaction fees and services for the Sharjah Government and meeting the specific needs of the Sharjah Central Finance Department and its government partners, exceeding what other platforms within the financial sector offer. She emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the department's plans to achieve global financial leadership.

Building integrated society based on cooperation

SFD continues its commitment to supporting community events and initiatives, reinforcing the values of corporate responsibility and consolidating the spirit of social cohesion and solidarity. This reflects the Sharjah Government's vision of building an integrated society based on the principles of partnership and cooperation.
