Al Muhamadi was appointed as the sport's Middle East ambassador in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to the UAE national team across various regional, continental, and international competitions.
Thanking the committee for their continued trust, Al Muhamadi emphasized the responsibility to grow the sport further. He plans to expand beach soccer by organizing competitions, youth training programs, and promoting the sport to young men and women.
Al Muhamadi noted that beach soccer is growing in popularity worldwide, particularly after the UAE hosted the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai. He also mentioned that Africa is likely to host the event soon, signaling the sport's increasing popularity.
The UAE national team is currently training in Thailand in preparation for the 11th AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, which will be held from March 20 to 30 in Pattaya, Thailand. This tournament also serves as a qualifier for the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles.
Al Muhamadi highlighted that the UAE national team is ranked first in Asia, first in the Arab world, and sixth globally, one of its highest rankings ever, achieved again after 2014. The team has also welcomed bright new talent following the recent World Cup.
