The power supply is being provided in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs, Sharjah Charity International (SCI), the Emirates Red Crescent, and other entities.
Engineer Ahmed Al Bass, Deputy Director of the Electricity Distribution Department, explained that power has been temporarily connected to 17 Iftar tents in Sharjah as part of joint efforts with all entities to provide the best services to supporting organisations.
Necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of those visiting these tents.
Al Bass emphasised that SEWA is working to meet requests to connect power to Ramadan tents across the Emirate of Sharjah, with the aim of promoting charitable work and implementing community and humanitarian initiatives.
These efforts reflect a spirit of solidarity and social cohesion, and aim to ensure the safety and security of citizens and residents.
Engineer Yousef Al Hammadi, Director of Kalba Administration, indicated that electricity has been connected to 21 Iftar tents in Kalba city, according to the best technical standards. These include 15 tents belonging to SCI, 4 tents for individuals, and 2 tents belonging to the Emirates Red Crescent.
Engineer Saud Abdul Aziz, Director of the Khorfakkan Administration, explained that electricity has been connected to 15 Iftar tents in various areas of Khorfakkan, belonging to several entities, according to the best security and safety regulations.
Abdul Aziz added that SEWA is keen to ensure compliance with requirements that contribute to maintaining everyone's safety, and to raise awareness of the importance of following the best safety standards and procedures to ensure the safety of tent sites.
