The Ramadan Majlis was attended by Engineer Majid Almadhloum, SDD Advisor, along with a group of the department’s employees involved in digital transformation. Amid a Ramadan atmosphere that fostered a spirit of communication and openness, the Majlis facilitated the exchange of ideas and experiences among a wide range of stakeholders, including specialists, entrepreneurs, students, service providers, retirees, and homemakers. The objective was to transform these ideas into innovative solutions that reflect real-world needs and enhance digital services. This aligns with the department’s vision of being ‘a people-first digital innovator’ by harnessing cutting-edge technologies and developing smart digital solutions that drive a qualitative shift in the quality of life for a smarter, more sustainable, and prosperous future.
Majid Almadhloum welcomed attendees, emphasising that this initiative is part of SDD’s commitment to fostering community participation in shaping digital government services. He highlighted the department’s dedication to listening to public opinions, ideas, and suggestions to improve and streamline digital services, ultimately providing a more efficient and seamless user experience. The workshop also aimed to open effective communication channels between the public and SDD, reinforcing transparency and trust while reflecting the government’s commitment to meeting societal needs through the latest digital innovations.
Almadhloum stated: “Digital transformation is a people-centred process, and we are committed to empowering individuals as key stakeholders in this ecosystem. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for all segments of society to contribute to building Sharjah’s digital future through collective efforts.”
He added: “We are enhancing collaboration among all government entities, working as a unified team to develop strategic directions for digital transformation. Our goal is to deliver advanced digital services that cater to the needs of individuals and achieve the highest levels of efficiency. Through this Ramadan Majlis, we seek to introduce the community to SDD’s initiatives, share our vision, and ensure our strategies align with public expectations.”
The Ramadan Majlis featured lively discussions and an exchange of knowledge about users’ experiences with digital solutions. Attendees explored ways to enhance their understanding of technological developments and shared insights on the efficiency of existing digital channels, the challenges they encounter, and suggestions for improvement.
Participants explored the latest advancements to enhance user experiences, including refining digital interfaces, leveraging modern technology, and prioritising user-centric digital services to support economic growth. Discussions also highlighted the importance of clear and accessible information to effectively guide users, as well as the crucial role of customer service channels in facilitating feedback and driving continuous improvement.
Majid Almadhloum reaffirmed SDD’s commitment to assessing the feedback and suggestions shared during the Ramadan Majlis and incorporating them into future plans to enhance existing services and introduce new initiatives that drive Sharjah’s digital transformation. He emphasised that the Ramadan Majlis is part of an ongoing series of dialogue sessions designed to empower the community and reinforce its role in shaping a more sustainable, advanced, and prosperous digital future.
