Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA), in collaboration with the global CIPS organisation, organised an advanced training programme (Master Class) on global best practices in procurement systems and their development.

The session was attended by Majid Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Institutional Support at the Authority, and Hadhif Sultan Al Salih, Director of Procurement and Contracts, along with a number of procurement department employees and representatives from the finance, warehouses, and central storage departments.

Insights from Industry Experts

The training was led by Sam Achampong FCIPS, Regional Director for CIPS in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, and Sulaiman Abdulla, Director of Administrative Affairs at the Tax Authority. They provided in-depth insights into the best practices in procurement systems and ways to enhance efficiency, focusing on achieving sustainability and innovation in procurement processes.

Enhancing Employee Knowledge and Efficiency

The aim of the training was to enhance employee skills and expand their knowledge of modern practices in procurement and supply chain management. This initiative aligns with global developments in the field, helping to achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency within the Authority.
