Sharjah 24: The Arab Cultural Club hosted a literary evening titled "Intellectual Vision in Children's Literature," featuring Syrian writer Jekar Khorshid and moderated by Reem Obeidat. The event was attended by Dr. Omar Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Club, and Ali Al-Mughni, Vice Chairman.

Exploring the nature of childhood curiosity

Obeidat opened the session by exploring the nature of childhood curiosity, emphasising that children are filled with questions from birth. She highlighted Khorshid's literary journey, which began with his award-winning book "The Jackal and the Lion" and has since produced over 350 published works. His latest series, inspired by Jalal al-Din Rumi’s philosophy, encourages reflection and imagination in young readers.

Learning

Khorshid stressed that children learn best through exploration rather than ready-made answers. His books focus on love, peace, and human values, expressed in poetic, thought-provoking phrases designed to inspire self-discovery and creativity.
