Additionally, SEWA has finished the second phase of the Jabal Omar - Al Dhaid Public Lighting Project. This part of the project included installing 69 poles, each 8 meters high, along with 73 LED lights designed to be energy-efficient. Over 3 kilometers of copper cables were also installed, costing a total of 551,284 dirhams.
Engineer Khalifa Mohammed Al Tunaiji, who is the Director of the Central Region Department at SEWA, stated that the lighting at the camel racecourse was done to very high standards. The project used both aluminum and copper cables for durability and included the installation of 718 LED lights and lighting supply boxes.
