SDGR hosts diplomatic day for female ambassadors

Sharjah24: Sharjah Department of Government Relations (SDGR) organised the Diplomatic Day for Female Ambassadors, which included a field visit to the Khor Kalba Mangrove Center on Thursday. Sheikha Raad bint Fahim Al Qasimi, Executive of Francophone Relations at the Sharjah Department of Government Relations (SDGR) emphasised the Department's commitment to strengthening collaboration between female leaders in government and accredited female ambassadors.

Promoting Cultural Exchange

The event brought together a group of female ambassadors and diplomats from various foreign embassies in the UAE, along with women leaders from different Sharjah government entities. Sheikha Raad bint Fahim Al Qasimi also highlighted that such events aim to introduce diplomats to Sharjah’s cities and regions while promoting the emirate’s tourism and natural assets.

Enhancing Diplomatic Ties

In a statement to “Sharjah24”, Sheikha Raad bint Fahim Al Qasimi noted that such gatherings help foster diplomatic and cultural relations between government leaders and female ambassadors from around the world. She also praised the efforts of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority for hosting the event, which offered participants insights into the natural treasures of the Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre. Additionally, she extended her gratitude to the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council for conducting a workshop for the attendees.
