SP assigns10 venues for Iftar Canon during Ramadan

In the Central Region, two important sites have been identified: Al Dhaid Fort and Al Naeem Mosque located in Tuwayila’, Al Madam city.

Throughout the month, the Iftar cannon in the Eastern Region will be fired alternately between the Clock Tower and Al Hefaiyah Lake in Kalba. Cannons have also been positioned at Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre and the Flag Point area in Dibba Al Hisn.

Sharjah Police have reiterated their dedication to restoring the tradition of the Iftar cannon during Ramadan, viewing it as a valued cultural heritage that embodies the UAE’s identity. This enduring tradition enriches the spiritual ambiance of the holy month while also spreading joy among individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Through the continuation of this practice, Sharjah Police seeks to enhance social engagement, enrich the experience of Ramadan, and preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
