Sharjah24: Engineer Abdullah Abubakr Al Yasi, Director of the Mosque Construction and Care Department at the Department of Islamic Affair (DIA) , announced the launch of the "Sharjah Minbars" initiative. This initiative aims to provide instant translation of Friday sermons into 40 different languages through the "Minbar" app. The initiative was inaugurated at the Al-Maghfirah Mosque in the Al-Saif area, one of the largest mosques in the emirate. This effort reflects the department's ongoing commitment to enhancing service quality and delivering the message of Friday sermons to the widest possible audience, particularly non-Arabic speakers.
Al-Yasi stated that this pioneering initiative is part of the department's strategy to promote the use of modern technologies in religious contexts. The "Minbar" app aims to provide accurate, rapid, and real-time translations of sermons, allowing worshippers to follow the sermon in their native language as it is delivered. This will enhance religious understanding and cultural communication within mosques.

Appreciation for the development team
He expressed gratitude to the entire team involved in developing the app, which promotes community communication and reinforces Islamic values.

Features of the Minbar App
The "Minbar" app, available for free on both the App Store and Google Play, allows users to select their preferred language from among 40 options, including English, French, Urdu, Pashto, and many others. It offers the capability to receive text or audio translations during or after the sermon, along with a feature to save sermons for later review, thereby enhancing both educational and religious benefits.
