The department has installed 150 smart screens across major mosques in various areas of the emirate, providing a direct communication tool with worshippers through continuously updated and diverse visual content. This includes Quranic verses and prophetic sayings that encourage morals and Islamic values, as well as awareness and educational messages relevant to individuals, families, and the community. The screens will also display announcements about lectures and religious lessons organised by the department, prayer times, and guidance information to help worshippers understand the services available in mosques and how to communicate with the department.
This initiative is part of the department's strategy to activate modern communication tools, digitize religious and awareness services and activities, and leverage technology to reinforce Islamic identity. It aims to provide religious and awareness content that enhances values in a manner that meets contemporary requirements. The smart screens have significantly contributed to reducing the use of paper publications, supporting environmental sustainability efforts.
The department emphasised that these screens represent a civilized means of disseminating knowledge and Islamic values while aligning with the aspirations of the Sharjah government to offer smart and advanced government services that enhance community satisfaction and meet its expectations.
This technology also features immediacy, allowing the department to update content in real-time. This enables quick interaction with religious and national events and effective communication with worshippers across various mosques.
