150 smart screens in Sharjah mosques to reinforce Islamic values

Sharjah24: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote Islamic values and develop its services using the latest technologies, the Department of Islamic Affairs is implementing smart screens within mosques. These screens will serve as an effective platform for disseminating awareness and religious messages, announcements about events and initiatives, and delivering the religious message in a modern way that aligns with the Sharjah government's digital transformation goals.

Installation of smart screens

The department has installed 150 smart screens across major mosques in various areas of the emirate, providing a direct communication tool with worshippers through continuously updated and diverse visual content. This includes Quranic verses and prophetic sayings that encourage morals and Islamic values, as well as awareness and educational messages relevant to individuals, families, and the community. The screens will also display announcements about lectures and religious lessons organised by the department, prayer times, and guidance information to help worshippers understand the services available in mosques and how to communicate with the department.

Strategy for digital transformation

This initiative is part of the department's strategy to activate modern communication tools, digitize religious and awareness services and activities, and leverage technology to reinforce Islamic identity. It aims to provide religious and awareness content that enhances values in a manner that meets contemporary requirements. The smart screens have significantly contributed to reducing the use of paper publications, supporting environmental sustainability efforts.
