The event begins with the third edition of the Sharjah Four-Star Show Jumping Championship and will take place at the indoor and outdoor arenas of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, running until 2 February.
This year’s edition is sponsored by Longines, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sharjah Equine Hospital, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Sharjah Sports Council, Carrefour, Majestic, Sharjah Sports TV, and Centro Sharjah.
The championships also include the 25th Sharjah Three-Star International Show Jumping Championship, scheduled from 6 to 9 February. The event concludes with the Sharjah Ruler’s Cup Five-Star Show Jumping Championship, which serves as the final qualification round for the 2025 Show Jumping World Cup, where the top five riders from Regional Group VII will be announced.
The Sharjah Nations Cup International Show Jumping Championship will feature six international four-star competitions with a total award pool of €235,000, alongside six one-star competitions offering €14,500 in prizes. Additionally, there will be two one-star competitions for young show jumping horses (ages 6–7) from Regional Group VII, with prizes of AED 8,000, as well as two youth competitions with €13,600 in prizes, two junior competitions with €11,000, and two children's competitions with €8,000.
Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to supporting sports events as part of its strategy to enhance Sharjah’s position as a leading tourism destination. He highlighted the role of such championships in developing the sports tourism sector and providing diverse experiences for visitors.
Al Midfa also emphasised that sponsoring the Sharjah Show Jumping Championships 2025 aligns with the authority’s efforts to foster collaboration among various entities, reinforcing Sharjah’s standing on both local and international levels.
