Taekwondo Camp welcomes 150 athletes from 14 countries

Sharjah24: The 11th edition of the Sharjah International Taekwondo Camp has commenced at the Sharjah Sports Club's Semnan branch, featuring more than 150 athletes from 14 different countries. The Sharjah Sports Council is backing the camp, which will continue until 5 February.

Extensive global involvement

The event showcases national teams, clubs, and Olympic athletes hailing from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tunisia, Palestine, Russia, and Ukraine.

Foundation for development

Eng. Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, a board member of Sharjah Sports Club and head of individual sports, emphasised the camp’s significance in training athletes for both local and international competitions, pointing out its history of developing players who have achieved international recognition.

Sustained success and support

Al-Hajri emphasised that the Sharjah Sports Council's support has enabled the camp's ongoing success. This year's edition showcases expert coaches and Olympic players, offering a significant training opportunity for all participants.
