Sharjah 24: Professor Awad Al Khalaf, the Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, officially opened the third edition of the £Bazaarna Ghair” exhibition organised by the Deanship of Student Affairs, which featured the participation of 43 female students from different faculties. The event highlighted a variety of entrepreneurial projects, featuring both traditional and modern cuisines, handmade crafts rooted in heritage, cutting-edge fashion, Arabic calligraphy, and distinctive perfumes, all of which showcased the cultural diversity of the university’s student body, representing more than 129 nationalities.

Promoting creativity and market readiness

The exhibition sought to showcase student creativity, encourage entrepreneurial initiatives, and equip students for the workforce by blending academic learning with hands-on skill development. The university's role in fostering innovation and empowering students is also evident through its partnerships with organisations, such as the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad).

Recognition of student achievements

Professor Al Khalaf praised the students for their hard work and innovative thinking, highlighting the significance of transforming ideas into meaningful projects. Professor Ahlam Bin Jerash, Assistant Chancellor for Female Student Affairs, conveyed her pride in the students’ accomplishments and attributed the success of the event to the university’s nurturing environment and strategic partnerships.

Identifying outstanding projects

The exhibition wrapped up with the acknowledgement of the top three projects by Ruwad, along with commendation awards for other notable contributions.
