“Their Safety First” raises awareness of protecting children

Sharjah 24: Nahla Hamdan Al Saadi, Deputy Director of the Child Safety Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, stressed that the “Their Safety First” campaign, organised by the Child Safety Department in cooperation with strategic partners, aims to raise awareness among community members of the importance of adhering to safety procedures during camping trips and riding bicycles or electric bikes.

Field visit

She reported that the department organised a field visit to Al Rahmaniya area, during which they met with the public, camping enthusiasts and drivers, and introduced them to the safety procedures followed to protect children, as part of the "Their Safety First" campaign.

Educating individuals

Al Saadi explained in statements to "Sharjah 24" that the campaign included educating individuals about the importance of the risks that occur inside and outside the vehicle, the necessity of wearing a seat belt and not putting children out of children's windows, and in the event that they ride bicycles or electric bikes, they must adhere to the helmet and security and safety procedures.

The Deputy Director of the Child Safety Department expressed her thanks and appreciation to the strategic partners: Sharjah Police General Command, Sharjah Social Services Department, Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, and Sharjah Municipality.
