Sharjah24: Preparations are ongoing for the 10th edition of the Sharjah International Cycling Tour, held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The organising committee held a coordination meeting at the Sharjah Sports Council, chaired by His Excellency Abdul Malik Muhammad Jani, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council and Head of the Organising Committee, along with Dr. Yasser Omar Al-Dokhi, the Tour Director, committee members, and heads of subcommittees.
During the meeting, reports on the performance of various committees were reviewed, along with their technical, logistical, media, and marketing preparations.
Final Preparations for the Press Conference
The meeting also discussed the final preparations for the press conference scheduled for Monday, January 13, on Al Noor Island in Sharjah, where details of the 10th edition of the tour will be announced. The number of participating teams, national selections, and countries was confirmed, along with the starting and finishing points for the five stages of the event. The committee also reviewed the trophies and medals prepared for the winners in various stages, as well as the invitations sent to VIPs and representatives of sponsors and partners.
Acknowledgment of Efforts
His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani expressed gratitude to all committees for their efforts and the results achieved so far. He emphasised the need to complete all requirements and overcome challenges in collaboration with various governmental and private entities to ensure a remarkable edition of this major global event.
