Rashid Jaber, coach of the Omani national team, voiced his aspirations to secure the cup following strong performances in the preliminary rounds and semi-finals. He emphasized that small details would ultimately decide the match.
In a press conference held on Friday in Kuwait, Jaber mentioned that despite the players not getting enough rest due to the tight schedule, they are fully prepared and highly focused for the final against the Bahraini team, which boasts talented players. He highlighted that the Omani team has been following a structured plan and has the capability to overcome any absences in the squad, with a strong desire to win for the Omani football fans.
Jaber also dismissed the notion of being an "emergency coach," pointing out that coaching contracts are based on agreements and highlighting the success of various national coaches in the Gulf region in past tournaments.
On the other side, Dragan Talajic, the Croatian coach of the Bahraini national team, emphasized the importance of the strong government and popular support for the team, which he believes will motivate the players to compete for the title and potentially secure Bahrain's second achievement in the history of the tournament, after their first title in 2019.
Talajic acknowledged the strength of the Omani national team, especially after their impressive performance against the Saudi national team in the semi-finals, despite facing a numerical disadvantage. He also addressed the absence of player Mahdi Abdul Jabbar, confirming that he is working on finding a suitable alternative from several options available to the team.
