Merlier secured the 175km stage from Hagitmou to Poudreau with a strong sprint finish. Norwegian Søren Wærenskjold finished second, followed by Eritrean Biniam Girmay in third place.

Although Pogačar crossed the line in 56th position, he finished with the same time as the stage leaders, allowing him to preserve his 2-minute and 42-second advantage over Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard, who placed 59th with the same time.
