During a recent reporting period, the Sharjah Police Operations Centre managed an impressive total of 12,241 calls. This figure includes 9,992 emergency calls received through the 999 hotline and 2,249 non-emergency calls processed via the 901 service. Efforts were coordinated in collaboration with key partners to ensure safety and security across the emirate.
Brigadier Dr. Jassim bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director of the Operations Centre, highlighted that the success shows Sharjah Police's dedication to ensuring a secure environment and attaining the highest levels of safety and security services. The Operations Room has stressed its readiness in collaboration with operational units in the central and eastern regions to guarantee prompt and efficient responses to all reported incidents.
Brigadier Al Suwaidi emphasised that all calls were categorised and prioritised according to their urgency, including emergency, non-emergency, and general enquiries, ensuring prompt referral to the appropriate authorities. Sharjah’s security teams are prepared to improve the quality of life and maintain top safety standards in the emirate.
The Brigadier also urged the public to call 999 in emergencies and 901 for non-urgent matters, highlighting the critical role of community collaboration in enhancing response times and ensuring effective services.
