Al Wusta Channel seeks to achieve its mission in providing purposeful and attractive qualitative media that contributes to enhancing awareness of the values of society, through a number of interesting and purposeful programmes that meet the tastes of its wide audience, and through which it confirms its commitment to its pioneering media mission in raising generations that adhere to authentic Emirati values and are connected to the heritage of fathers and grandfathers, in order to ensure meeting the needs of different segments of the audience.
One of the new programmes is the "Happy Home", which deals with matters that concern the family and cohesion between members of the same family in order to achieve stability and happiness. The programme also discusses the most prominent contemporary family issues, in the presence of specialists in the field of psychology and family counseling, where topics are addressed from different angles by providing advice and guidance that support building a cohesive, happy, and stable family. The programme is presented by Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi.
The channel also re-produced renewed seasons of previous programmes that were well received by the audience, most notably "Biography of a Poet" presented by Saif bin Huwaishel Al Khatri, who is one of the most prominent young poets in the Central Region. Through the programme's episodes, the programme discusses the distinguished biographies of the most prominent poets in the UAE in general and the Central Region in particular, whether they have passed away or are still alive, while reviewing their distinguished poetic experiences and most prominent poems.
The "Ambition of Youth" programme presented by Zayed Matar Al Tunaiji aims to enrich the viewers' experience and provide them with new knowledge and creative scenes that translate the passion of young people and their ability to keep up with their dreams and ambitions through their promising projects, and to learn closely about their beginnings in the world of entrepreneurship and their passion towards these projects and the most prominent challenges they faced during their implementation and how they were able to overcome them.
The "Central Clubs" programme also addresses the efforts of cultural sports clubs and their role in providing the local community with pioneering activities and programmes that support the hobbies of the people of the Central Region, especially youth, in addition to shedding light on the most prominent achievements made in various sports, whether at the local, Arab or international level.
The educational programme "Educational Features" focuses on the role of the family and school in achieving the desired integration for a sound and correct upbringing of children, which in turn supports the building of a promising generation that contributes to serving its community and country. The programme is presented by Saeed Balath Al Tunaiji.
"Window on the Past" programme takes viewers on a journey, through which they learn about an important and vital aspect of the lives of fathers and grandfathers in the past, while linking it to the present through stories, tales and a store of memories that extends over hundreds of years. The programme is presented by Nasser Saeed Al Tunaiji.
Al Wusta Channel's religious programmes were enhanced with "Light of the Quran" programme, which deals with the interpretation of the verses of the Holy Quran, and sheds light on the miracles in the universe, from plants, humans and animals, which were mentioned in the Book of God Almighty. The programme is presented by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Al Mukhtar. The channel broadcasts the religious programme "Quranic Reflections", which deals with the interpretation of the verses of the Holy Quran with a comprehensive explanation. The channel also broadcasts a number of programmes, most notably "Suwalif Messian", which is a forum that brings together the channel's broadcasters and a guest specialising in the topic of each episode, presented by Ali bin Nouma Al Ketbi, Saeed Al Qamzi, Abdulrahman bin Dalmouk Al Ketbi, and Saif Salem Zayed Al Tunaiji.
"Al Araba" programme focuses on the local dialect of the Bedouins and explains its uniqueness and the factors of similarity and convergence in word and meaning with other environments in the UAE. The programme is presented by Nasser Saeed Al Shammam Al Tunaiji, and hosts Khalifa Rashid bin Hamoud Al Tunaiji in its episodes.
"On the Banks of Sharia", which narrates stories, tales, and memories about Al Dhaid neighbourhood which has not yet revealed its secrets, as the focus is on an important aspect in the lives of the people of the neighbourhood, especially related to the Bedouin woman and her prominent role in supporting the man in the hardships of life's journey. The programme reviews, through its episodes, aspects of this role and its reflections on the Bedouin family's journey in the past.
The "Baqaa" programme, presented by Dr. Rashid Ahmed Al Mazrouei, tackles the areas of the central region, where interviews are conducted with the elderly residents, and they narrate what their memories hold about those places, in addition to the "Poets' Majlis" programme, which brings together a number of the most prominent poets from the UAE in general and the central region in particular, presented by the poet Sultan bin Khalifa Al Tunaiji.
In addition, the channel presents programmes related to the heritage and hobbies of the people of the region, namely: Shadow of the Ghaf, Coffee of the Morning, The Majlis, Ahl Al Ebel, Briq Al Thakira, Khairat Al Wusta, in addition to the "Memory of a Place" programme, which delves into the history of the personalities and places that the central region embraces, and sheds light on an important aspect of its stories and the information and tales that the memory of the people of the region stores about it.
"Popular Foods" programme, which presents the most famous Emirati dishes that the people of the region are famous for, and the morning programme "Al Wusta Diaries", which focuses on various aspects of the lives of citizens and residents, by highlighting the environment, heritage and nature of the lives of the people of the region, along with presenting topics that interest women, youth, sports, cuisine, medical and religious consultations, social issues and others.
Saeed Rashid bin Fadel Al Ketbi, Director of Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid, pointed out that through the new programmes, the channel is keen to take into account the diversity of programmes, in terms of content, ideas and topics that are presented, in addition to selecting the finest dramatic works that enjoy a large following, or have gained wide popularity, in order to ensure meeting the needs of various categories of the local audience.
Al Ketbi added that since its launch more than 8 years ago, the channel has been keen to translate the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which are embodied in supporting and protecting heritage in all its forms, in addition to paying attention to everything that supports Sharjah message in building the human being and developing the place. Therefore, the channel is keen to produce programmes that focus on the memory of the place and the authentic Bedouin culture and highlight them, alongside programmes that focus on shedding light on the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the central region like all cities and regions of Sharjah.
Al Ketbi pointed out that the channel’s personnel, with their various specialisations, have worked during the past period to produce programmes that enrich viewers and represent an intellectual and cognitive addition.
