The certification follows the SIH’s successful renewal of its accreditation by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in September 2024 for a three-year period, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence. The ISO certification, valid from December 2024 to December 2027, is subject to annual reviews, ensuring ongoing compliance with the highest quality standards.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating: "Receiving this global certification reflects our steadfast commitment to safeguarding and enriching cultural heritage through exceptional education. It also underscores the strategic vision of Sharjah, led by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who places great emphasis on heritage and culture as fundamental pillars of sustainable development. Dr. Al Musallam emphasised that this success is the result of the tireless efforts of a dedicated team and trusted partners who work relentlessly to realize the SIH’s vision of becoming a global hub for knowledge dissemination and cultural preservation. He added that the certification highlights the institute’s unwavering commitment to delivering innovative educational programs that prepare specialized professionals capable of continuing the journey of preserving Sharjah’s rich heritage.
He noted that this milestone marks a qualitative leap in enhancing the SIH’s role as a center of excellence in heritage and cultural studies.
