Crowning champions of 5th Sharjah Basketball Tournament

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council has announced the champions of the fifth edition of the Sharjah International Basketball Tournament for Youth. This event took place at the Khor Fakkan Club Hall, featuring 500 players from 35 teams across 10 countries.
The award ceremony saw the presence of Abdul Latif Al Fardan, a member of the Sharjah Sports Council’s Board of Directors; Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khor Fakkan Cultural and Sports Club; Nadeem Hakeem, Vice President of the Arab Basketball Federation and President of the Beirut Club; Ahmed Suleiman, founder of the Jam Sports Academy, the tournament's main partner; along with its representative, Wael Sahwani. 

Abdul Latif Al Fardan conveyed his delight regarding the technical and public success of the fifth edition, extending his congratulations to the teams and players who secured the trophies and top positions in the tournament. He expressed gratitude to the Jam Academy and Khor Fakkan Club for their productive collaboration with the council, as well as their sponsoring and supporting organisations. 

The Sharjah Sports Team secured the first-place trophy and gold medals in the Under-12 category, with the Khor Fakkan team taking second place and the Jam team finishing in third place. 

In the Under-14 category, the French team "Number One" secured first place, with the Russian team "Dynamo" taking second, and the Spanish team "Next Hopes" finishing in third. 

In the Under-16 category, the Jordanian team "New English" secured first place, with the Jordanian team "Oman United" taking second place, and the British team "Manchester Giants" finishing in third place.

The Under-12 category recognised Mohammed Jassim from Sharjah as the best player and Junaid Mansour from Khor Fakkan as the top scorer.

Noy Toth from "Number One" France secured the top scorer award in the Under-14 category, with his teammate Isaac Ramfort also earning recognition. 

The Under-16 category recognized Eric Risco from "Next Hopes," Spain, as the top scorer and Mutaz Sweid from "New English," Jordan, as the best player.
