Dr. Abdulaziz Almusallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, highlighted that the launch of the Publishing Guide marks an important milestone in the institute's journey. This initiative is in accordance with the insightful directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who highlights the significance of culture and heritage as fundamental elements of civilisational progress.
Dr. Almusallam also emphasised that the institute's publications serve a purpose beyond simple documentation; they aim to elevate Arabic as a language of knowledge creation and documentation, while also promoting cultural dialogue between nations through the art of translation.
He stressed that these publications aim to expand the scope of cultural exchange by translating heritage works into Arabic and from Arabic into various other languages. He characterised translation as a vital link that unites cultures, promoting dialogue between civilisations.
He has further emphasised that these publications go beyond mere written pages; they represent a visionary initiative aimed at protecting cultural heritage and ensuring its transmission to future generations.
