Sharjah24: Sharjah Charity International conducted 30 cardiac catheterization procedures for children at the National Heart Foundation Hospital in Sylhet, Bangladesh, as part of the “Little Hearts” initiative, which focuses on treating children with severe congenital heart conditions.

The “Little Hearts” initiative is integral to the humanitarian strategy of SCI to deliver essential medical assistance to children battling heart diseases. Through this program, the organization aims to reach various countries worldwide, with the goal of saving the lives of children in urgent need of surgical procedures. The organization strives to fund surgeries for children who cannot afford treatment, offering them a new opportunity for life.

“This campaign is part of a broader series of medical initiatives launched by the Sharjah Charity Association worldwide. We successfully carried out 30 cardiac catheterizations in Bangladesh, out of 80 children who received initial medical assessments. This effort has brought renewed hope to children battling life-threatening heart conditions. None of this would have been possible without the tremendous support from Sharjah Charity International,” stated Dr. Ahmed Al Kamali, Pediatric Cardiology Consultant at Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital and head of the campaign's medical team.

For their part, the families of the children who benefited from the campaign expressed their deep gratitude to the Sharjah Charity Association for the medical support it provided to their children, stressing that this medical intervention saved their children’s lives and gave them hope for the future.
