Sharjah Sports Council and its clubs shine at Dawahi Festival

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council, along with 15 clubs from the emirate, is taking part in the 13th edition of the Dawahi Festival, organised by the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department at Al Qarayen 4 Park from December 12 to 31.
The event showcases a lively lineup, featuring a diverse range of community events, cultural activities, and notable sports competitions. 

Festival attendees will partake in immersive experiences, featuring input from the council's departments and clubs, as well as promotional films and exhibits. The clubs participating under the council’s umbrella comprise Sharjah, Al Bataeh, Al Hamriyah, Al Madam, Mleiha, Al Dhaid, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, the Girls’ Chess and Culture Club in Sharjah, Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, Sharjah Classic Cars Club, Al Thiqa Club for People with Disabilities, and Khor Fakkan Club. 

Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, emphasized the significance of yearly involvement in the festival to strengthen the council’s community role and embody the vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

 His Excellency envisions a future that emphasises the importance of family ties and nurtures a deep connection between the residents of the emirate and their homeland.  Al-Hazami commended the work of the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department, under the leadership of Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and expressed his appreciation for the chance given to the council and clubs to enhance the event.
