Successful opening of Sports Investment Forum in Sharjah

Sharjah 24: Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Sharjah's Deputy Ruler, launched the Arab Forum for Financing and Investment in the Sports Sector on Monday, 23rd September, at the Pullman Hotel in Sharjah. The Arab Administrative Development Organisation partnered with the Sharjah Sports Council to stage the tournament.
The session, which will conclude on Wednesday, September 25th, aims to highlight the importance of sports investment and its impact on economic growth, as well as the enormous opportunities and challenges that sports investment faces today. It also discusses the best approaches to boost finance and investment in the sports business.

The opening session was attended by Hamad Ali Al Mahmoud, the representative of the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, the Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Abdulmalik Jani, the Vice Chairman of the Council, board members Abdullah Al Dah, Abdullah Sultan, and Engineer Adel Saleh, as well as a large number of students, sports federation and club representatives, and council managers.

Issa Hilal Al-Hazami welcomed the guests with a speech emphasising the significance of Sharjah hosting the forum, as well as the connection between sports and the economy through finance and investment. He highlighted the Council's dedication to carrying out His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's vision of sports as a way of life and a foundation for human development.

The event will address five primary themes, with the first day having two sessions on sports investment and marketing, sports investment and service providers, global sports legislation, and sports investment arbitration. The forum resumes on Tuesday, September 24th.
