Sharjah24: The reEarth International Art Prize, a new global arts initiative, is now accepting submissions from young creators worldwide in photography, painting, drawing, digital art, and illustration. The reEarth International Art Prize represents a unique opportunity for students to become part of a global conversation about climate change.
Aimed at inspiring children and youth to engage with climate action through creativity, the Prize will showcase selected works in digital and physical exhibitions in Auckland, New Zealand, and Venice, Italy. Participants will have the opportunity to gain international recognition, with their submissions evaluated by a distinguished jury of artists and curators from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, the UAE, and the United States.
Organized by The Little Art New Zealand in partnership with FANN—Sharjah Media Arts for Youth and Children, the reEarth International Art Prize encourages artistic exploration of climate change themes, including Life on Earth, Life Under Water, Beyond Humans, and People and Planet Connected. Teachers and educators are invited to introduce this opportunity to students, fostering both their artistic skills and environmental awareness.
Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of FANN and SIFF shared; "We believe that art is a powerful means of bringing about change, and this International Art Award provides students, children, and young people with a unique opportunity to express their creativity and contribute to raising awareness about the issues of climate change. We encourage children and youth to seize this opportunity to highlight their environmental artistic visions and contribute to spreading awareness about global climate challenges."
Shoaib Iqbal, co-founder of the reEarth Studio shared;” We are seeing great interest from schools, children and youth to participate in this inaugural year. We are very happy to empower next generation of artists, as well as put a spotlight on climate change as collective issue of us all.”
The Prize is open to all children and youth aged 4 to 25, across three categories: painting & drawing, photography, and digital art & illustration. Awards including cash prizes, international exhibitions, special jury awards, and e-certificates for all participants. Selected artworks will be exhibited in Auckland, New Zealand, and Venice, Italy, offering young artists a unique platform to amplify their perspectives on sustainability.
