Sharjah24: The Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council took part in the third edition of the "Safe and Secure Tourism" campaign, organised by Sharjah Police's Eastern Region Department.
The event, launched on Thursday in Dibba Al Hisn, was attended by Ahmed bin Yarouf, Chairman of the Dibba Al Hisn Municipal Council, Reem bin Karam, Director General of Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, Colonel Abdulaziz Al Hammoudi, Head of Dibba Al-Hisn Police Station, along with officials and representatives from various government entities.
Reem bin Karam expressed her appreciation to Sharjah Police for the opportunity to participate in the campaign, allowing the council to showcase its products and the creativity of its artists. She noted that the campaign aims to educate tourists about safety and security measures during their visits to the Eastern Region while also serving as a platform to highlight Emirati crafts and cultural heritage.
As part of the campaign, an exhibition was held in Dibba Al Hisn, featuring handmade crafts, traditional Emirati cuisine, incense-making, and other heritage arts. The event provided visitors with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural legacy of the UAE.
