Sharjah24: Mahra Al Qaseer, the official spokesperson for the House of Wisdom, announced that the Jalaluddin Al Rumi exhibition, "750 Years of Absence... Eight Centuries of Presence," will continue until February 14, 2025, at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah.
The House of Wisdom in Sharjah is currently showcasing the exhibition "750 Years of Absence... Eight Centuries of Presence," dedicated to Jalaluddin Al Rumi. This exhibition features rare artefacts that are being displayed outside of Turkey for the first time. The exhibition is set to continue until February 14, 2025, providing an insightful exploration of Rumi's spiritual legacy.

Mahra Al Qaseer, the official spokesperson for the House of Wisdom, provided insights into the exhibition, which explores Rumi's spiritual journey through three distinct sections, highlighting important phases of his life: his early years, a transformative moment in his spiritual path, the lasting impact of his legacy. Seventeen ancient artefacts from the Mevlana Museum in Konya, Turkey, are being showcased for the first time beyond Turkish borders.

Al Qaseer stated that the initial segment highlights Rumi’s formative years in Balkh and his three-decade migration journey that ended in Konya, shaped by his father's guidance. This piece features a significant artefact that represents his journey through various geographical and cultural landscapes. The second section delves into the significant encounter with Shams Tabrizi, highlighting Rumi's evolution into a celebrated philosopher and poet whose spiritual philosophy is deeply anchored in divine love. The third section emphasises Rumi’s lasting influence, illustrating how his teachings continue to inspire people even centuries after his time.

Al Qaseer highlighted that the exhibition seeks to foster a deeper appreciation of Rumi's enduring wisdom, which holds as much significance today as it did centuries ago. It also emphasises Rumi's universal message of unity and love, a call that continues to inspire people worldwide.
