Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, emphasized the significance of fostering competition between government and private entities under his leadership. His Highness highlighted this during the meeting held on Wednesday at the House of Wisdom, where he discussed the Institutional Excellence Award - Tamayuz. This award is aimed at positively impacting organizations by driving institutional development, improving the services offered to both institutions and individuals, and enhancing job satisfaction, all of which contribute to achieving institutional excellence and effective governance.
His Highness outlined the necessity for senior leadership to maintain direct oversight and guidance over the efforts of their teams. His Highness stressed the importance of understanding the concepts and goals of the award, which promotes a culture of excellence and competitiveness. This focus is essential for improving performance, encouraging continuous development, enhancing service quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and equipping the workforce with the skills needed for the future.
Wishing all government and private entities success in meeting their goals, His Highness encouraged participation in the inaugural round of the Excellence Award across its various categories. His Highness reaffirmed his unwavering support for these entities in their pursuit of excellence and the benefits it brings.
Additionally, His Highness launched the electronic system for the Institutional Excellence Award - Tamayuz. During the launch, he inscribed the phrase “Excellence is a decision” into the system, marking its official introduction for entities under his supervision to begin submitting their entries.

The electronic system was specifically designed to fulfill the award's requirements and objectives. It provides a comprehensive digital platform for managing the award, ensuring updated information, enhancing transparency and efficiency throughout the process, and facilitating swift application submissions. This innovation also streamlines the evaluation process and allows for the review of historical data to compare performance across evaluation cycles.
The system allows senior leaders in both government and private sectors to easily monitor and approve submitted files through dedicated screens designed for nomination applications across various categories. Additionally, it features a dashboard that facilitates effective management of these applications.

This platform prioritizes data security and includes modern interactive reporting capabilities. It supports multiple languages and integrates smoothly with other systems, offering customization options to cater to the specific needs of the award.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the Deputy Chairman of the Department of Oil, and other officials from the entities led by His Highness, participated in an introductory workshop. This session provided an overview of the Institutional Excellence Award "Tamayuz," which was launched by His Highness in October 2023. The workshop covered the award's criteria and categories, as well as the meetings, publications, and workshops that took place in the previous period, including a detailed demonstration of how to effectively navigate the electronic system for the award.
