Sharjah24: During a captivating conversation with "Sharjah 24" amidst the enchanting creation of “Little Women—The Broadway Musical,” a spellbinding rendition of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, Ryan Scarlata, the Actor Tutor and Director at the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, illuminated the fervor and unwavering commitment that breathed life into this theatrical masterpiece.
Ryan Scarlata explained that the production represented a significant milestone for the fourth-year students, serving as a culmination of the skills they had developed over four years of dedicated training. He referred to it as a "special event" for the students, highlighting their growth and accomplishments.

The director highlighted the distinctive aspects of the show, especially the costumes inspired by the 1860s. The director noted that the team, consisting of a tutor, a shop supervisor, and the students, had to create these costumes from scratch because they were not readily available in the local area. He observed that their endeavors produced remarkable, unique pieces that enhanced the show’s authenticity and appeal.

He also noted that the musical delved into enduring themes like relationships, family, tradition, and feminism, all framed by the context of the American Civil War. He noted that the story, which has echoed for almost two hundred years, continues to be profoundly relevant and relatable in the present day.

The director conveyed a sense of pride in the team's achievements and described the process as both exciting and rewarding. He urged audiences to join the remaining performances, emphasising that there was still time to enjoy the production. He indicated that the performance is scheduled for Monday, 9th December, and Tuesday, 10th December, at 8:00 PM, with tickets accessible at no cost on SPPA website:
