Sharjah24: Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, accompanied by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalba, attended a poetry evening organised by the Department of Culture (DOC) at the courtyard of Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi's house in Kalba. Abdullah Ahmed Ali Al Houti, emphasised the department's commitment to organising meaningful events to enhance the poetic and artistic taste of the audience.
In statements to Sharjah24, he affirmed that the department organised a distinctive poetry evening at the outdoor courtyard of Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi's house in Kalba, with the participation of the prominent poets Abdullah Al Hadiya and Youssef Al Kamali.
Al Houti added that Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Cheif of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Khorfakkan, accompanied by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalba, attended the evening, in the presence of a crowd of officials, intellectuals, dignitaries, and residents of Kalba city.
He explained that the evening featured a variety of poems, ranging from national to emotional poetry, interspersed with artistic and folklore performances presented by the Dibba Military Band, including the Al Azzi, Razfa, and Yowla. The evening was complemented by an art exhibition titled "Inspired by Nature" by the artists Azza Al Qubaisi and Ruaa Al Helou.
