Sharjah 24 – Reuters: Mohamed Salah delivered an inspiring performance as Liverpool defeated Manchester City 2-0, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to nine points. The Egyptian forward set up Cody Gakpo’s opener and converted a penalty in the second half, matching Wayne Rooney’s record of 36 Premier League games with both a goal and assist.
Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season, revealed that he has not received a new offer from the club. Reflecting on the victory, he said, “Honestly, it’s in my head. Until now, this is the last Man City game I will play for Liverpool, so I just enjoyed it.”

Despite the uncertainty about his future, Salah, with 224 goals in 369 games for Liverpool, remains focused on winning the league. He added, “It’s very special. I’m enjoying every minute here. It feels like home.”
