Sharjah 24 – AFP: Ruben Amorim enjoyed a dream home Premier League debut as Manchester United thrashed Everton 4-0, with Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee each scoring twice. The win followed a disappointing draw at Ipswich, but United delivered an attacking masterclass against struggling Everton.
Rashford opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a deflected shot, and Zirkzee doubled the lead after dispossessing Jarrad Branthwaite. United quickly added a third early in the second half, with Rashford finishing off a swift counterattack. Zirkzee completed the scoring after a second assist from Amad Diallo.
The win lifts United to ninth, while Everton remains just above the relegation zone.
