The participation aimed at establishing the culture of volunteer work to achieve effective community support to education programmes by implementing a set of social initiatives and programmes with the participation of parents, students and community members.
The council seeks, through the volunteer opportunities it offers through SAVW Platform, to create fruitful volunteer opportunities investing in and employing community members’ skills in serving educational and community programmes under the title (Volunteer Opportunity, Take Action).
Participating in the exhibition aims to introduce visitors to the council's specialisations and the most important initiatives presented throughout the year.
The Council's participating corner in the exhibition was distinguished and creative, introducing students and parents to the Council's initiatives.
The council received 155 visitors under the supervision of His Excellency Mohammed Rashid Rushoud Al Hamoudi, Council's Chairman; and the follow-up of Safia Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Council's official; in the presence of Sheikha Al Mutawa, the Head of the Educational and Teaching Committee; Maryam Rashid Al Maamari, Head of the Activities and Events Committee and the Council's employees.
It is worth noting that volunteer opportunities, offered by the Council, serve as field training for all participating parties and volunteers through the exchange of experiences and knowledge between those affiliated with the volunteer opportunities, Council members and employees, in addition to full cooperation in supporting the participants and directing them to register through the Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work platform.
