He also commended the exceptional support provided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Founder of Al Qasimia University, to students from various countries, describing it as "an extraordinary effort."
Harvey remarked, "Who takes you from your country to provide you free education? Who offers you free accommodation? Who feeds you for free? Who pays you a stipend so you can complete your studies? Who does that? It is His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah."
He highlighted the stark contrast between this experience and practices in other countries, saying, "In many countries, nothing is free—no free education, no free housing, no stipends. No one pays you a monthly allowance to live without the stress of worrying about your next meal. But in the UAE, all of this is provided so you can focus solely on your studies."
Harvey expressed his deep admiration for the exceptional support offered by the Emirate of Sharjah and its wise leadership to students, as well as its pioneering role in bringing together cultures from around the world. He affirmed that Sharjah represents a unique model that unites people and cultures within an outstanding educational environment.
He emphasised the importance of seizing this unique opportunity provided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, saying, "The message this great man is trying to convey to you is to return to your countries and spread the good news. There are more similarities between us than there are differences, and that is the essence of the human message represented by the UAE."
During the session, Harvey shared aspects of his personal journey, highlighting the challenges he faced and how they shaped his character. He stressed that success comes only through perseverance and hard work, underscoring how the support of visionary leaders like His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, creates ideal educational environments for developing the skills and abilities of young people, contributing to stronger and more cohesive societies.
In his talk, Harvey delivered several impactful messages, inspiring the youth on how to achieve their dreams and overcome discouragement. He said, "Everything I have ever dreamed of, written on my vision board, stuck on my bathroom mirror, or placed on my fridge—I have achieved it."
He emphasised the importance of belief in imagination and personal abilities, addressing the students: "Young people, know this: everything you imagine is possible. Your imagination is not random... It is impossible to think of an impossible idea."
At the end of the session, Steve Harvey expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received at Al Qasimia University, appreciating the educational spirit embraced by the university, which provides students from diverse nationalities with a unique opportunity to learn, dialogue, and promote tolerance.
