Sharjah24: Officials from the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority's departments showcased their key media initiatives and accomplishments at the Global Media Congress held in Abu Dhabi, all within the Sharjah Government pavilion.
Sawsan Balwan, the Head of Social Communication at the Digital Media Department, expressed her enthusiasm for participating in the Global Media Congress. She emphasized that the Digital Media Department would highlight its significant achievements and its pivotal role in conveying Sharjah’s cultural message through various platforms that have attracted an impressive 5 million followers.
Mohammed Al Junaidi, Editor-in-Chief of Akhbar Al Dar at Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, shared insights on their participation by discussing the Akhbar Al Dar program, a local bulletin that delivers the latest news and developments from the United Arab Emirates with utmost honesty. He noted that the program started in 2005, and a revamped version emerged in 2015, introducing new sections and appointing correspondents to cover events nationwide.
Sultan Al Awadhi, Senior Training Executive at Sharjah Media Academy, elaborated on their involvement, mentioning three training workshops focused on the impact of charisma in media, the applications of artificial intelligence, and the use of drones. He highlighted that the academy specializes in media training and development, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, along with the management of media institutions. The goal is to enhance media skills, improve techniques, and provide advisory services for both government and private organizations.
Lastly, Salem Al-Junaidi from the Maraya platform management revealed that the platform offers a variety of meaningful programs designed to serve and benefit the audience effectively.
