Sharjah Ruler receives Sharjah handball the Asian Champions

During a reception on Wednesday afternoon at Al Badee Palace, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, welcomed the first handball team of Sharjah Sports Club. This celebration marked their remarkable achievement in winning the 27th Asian Clubs League Championship.
His Highness announced a reward of AED5 million for the team in recognition of their dedication and success in securing the continental title. This gesture aims to inspire the players to keep pushing their limits and striving for even more titles in future competitions.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah extended his congratulations to Sharjah Club for clinching the championship. He emphasized the significance of collaboration and dedicated efforts in pursuing the goals of sports across all disciplines. On November 23, Sharjah Sports Club made history by winning the 27th Asian Men’s Handball Clubs League Championship for the first time ever. They clinched the title after a thrilling final against Saudi team Al-Khaleej Club, edging out their rivals with a score of 27-26. The match took place in the Qatari capital, Doha, and this victory has now earned Sharjah a spot in the upcoming Handball World Cup.
