Sharjah 24: The Organisational Committee for Border Ports and Checkpoints under the Sharjah Ports, Customs, and Free Zones Authority held a celebration at the Khatm Malaha border checkpoint in Kalba, Sharjah’s eastern region, marking Oman’s 54th National Day.
This event is in harmony with the UAE’s wider celebrations of the occasion under the slogan, "Oman is part of us, and we are part of them," highlighting the profound fraternal bonds between the two nations.
The ceremony featured the reception of a delegation from the Royal Oman Police, headed by Colonel Said bin Mohammed Al Jabri, Assistant Commander of the North Al Batinah Governorate Police, along with officers and officials from both parties.
The event demonstrated a variety of national, cultural, and heritage activities, highlighted by a musical performance from the Sharjah Police Sciences Academy band. The Omani flag's colours adorned the skies above Khatm Malaha, symbolizing a strong bond and strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the celebration, the Organisational Committee bestowed upon the Omani delegation historical works authored by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. These included "The Truth of the History of Oman" and the final edition of the historical encyclopaedia, "Sultan of History."
