The festivities and welcome were held at the Khatam Malaha Border Crossing in Kalba, Sharjah's Eastern Region. This celebration is part of the UAE's commemoration of this glorious occasion, reflecting the depth of distinguished fraternal relations and the strong historical ties between the two countries and their brotherly peoples under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.
A number of officials, senior officers, and guests from both countries were in attendance at the reception, including Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, Director of Ports and Border Points Affairs, Free Zones Authority, and head of the organising committee for border crossings and points in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Flags of both countries, photos of the respective leaders, and statements symbolising the deep links of love and fraternity between the two sisterly nations were displayed on the major road leading to the border crossing and the big screens in honour of the 53rd Omani National Day.
Additionally, there was an exchange of commemorative gifts on this dear occasion, and the Omani delegation was presented with copies of the latest publications of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, titled 'Oman's History: From Ancient Settlements to the Fall of the Ibadi State'.
