Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), represented by the Social Cohesion Department, has signed the "Safety Network" agreement with Emirates National Facilities Management Company. The agreement aims to provide social support and solidarity with the department's beneficiaries, who are considered priority cases for social care. It seeks to improve their living standards and quality of life during urgent interventions, crises, and disasters.
Additionally, the agreement supports the partnership efforts between the two parties to achieve community development in Sharjah and to promote and strengthen humanitarian values and charitable work in the community. The "Safety Network" initiative, launched by the Sharjah Social Services Department in 2019, provides urgent support in humanitarian cases, crises, and disasters across the emirate. This is achieved by entering into agreements with partners from various governmental, private, or even individual contributors, who provide material or in-kind contributions to beneficiaries from the low-income group registered with the department. These beneficiaries are considered priority cases for social care, and the initiative attracts partners from all sectors, which positively impacts the beneficiaries by enhancing their living standards and improving their quality of life.

The agreement was signed by Khawla Al-Naimi, Director of the Community Service Sector at SSSD, and Engineer Mohamed Abdul Karim Khamis, CEO of Emirates National Facilities Management Company.

According to Al-Naimi, the agreement stems from both parties' commitment to supporting and enhancing social responsibility and aims to realise the concept of partnership between the public and private sectors. It seeks to unite efforts to serve the community in general, and the members of SSSD in particular, striving to assist this needy group during urgent interventions and crisis situations, thus improving their quality of life in the emirate.

For his part, Engineer Mohamed Khamis, CEO of Emirates National Facilities Management Company, expressed his pride in signing the agreement with the Sharjah Social Services Department, highlighting that it represents a strategic collaboration that adds significant responsibility towards members of society and contributes to community welfare. He said, "Emirates National Facilities Management Company is honoured to partner with the Sharjah Social Services Department through the Safety Network agreement. This strategic collaboration reflects the company's commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, aligning with our core values of contributing to community development. Moreover, this partnership underscores our dedication to making a positive impact on society. We look forward to contributing to initiatives that enhance social welfare and resilience. Emirates National Facilities Management Company remains committed to corporate social responsibility initiatives, with the Safety Network agreement serving as a cornerstone for our efforts to give back to the community. Our goal is to create lasting and meaningful change to improve society."
