On the opening day, the Rubu' Qarn theatre youth group, Sharjah Youth, presented the play City of Knowledge, which narrates the journey of a young boy in search of a cure for his lethargy. His journey leads him to the legendary "City of Knowledge," where he uncovers the profound truth that genuine knowledge is found in the pursuit of reading and learning.
The audience responded enthusiastically to the play, commending the actors' performances and the story's powerful message regarding the significance of reading.
On the second day, attendees enjoyed a puppet-making workshop that welcomed participants of all ages, providing an opportunity to craft imaginative puppet characters.
After the workshop, performances by Sharjah Children, Sajaya Young Ladies, and Sharjah Capacity Development groups showcased Silent Tales, a collection of scenes expressed solely through mime. Through the use of facial expressions, body language, and gestures, actors conveyed emotions and conflicts without speaking a single word, effectively delivering impactful messages.
Commenting on this, Maryam Aybed, an attendee, commented the acts saying that the performance was rich with genuine, engaging moments that highlighted the actors' skill in expressing profound concepts without the use of dialogue.
